The company DOD-TECH from Taiwan, which belongs to the world leaders in the segment of car cameras, after a long wait brings to the market the new flagship camera DOD GS980D. What did the long three and a half year waiting for the new model bring? Fans and users of this brand have waited a long time, but as they say, good things are worth the wait. The novelty on the market comes in an elegant, modern and stylish design. It is a dual model with many software and hardware improvements.
Probably the biggest news is the 4K resolution of the front camera, the combination of 5G WiFi support (via the smartphone app) as well as a 3" display directly on the camera, support for micro SD cards up to 256 GB or USB-C power supply (GPS sensor directly in the camera holder) - it will offer a clear, smooth image without any interference.The camera itself will act very well even in low light situations thanks to the new image sensor (OmniVision - front camera and SONY STARVIS - rear camera).
The angle of the front camera is 140 degrees and it captures everything you need, in addition to the mentioned high-end image sensors, great optics also take care of capturing video - with an aperture of f/1.5, which in combination provides a smooth, real image in ultra high quality 4K. In the new camera everything works perfectly in effort that the resulting image is as good as possible. The camera comes with GPS and 5G wifi support, which should be nowadays standard - as demonstrated by the DOD GS980D. You control the camera using the buttons on the back, where there is also a large 3.0" LCD display. The recording is saved on a memory card with the maximum capacity of 256 GB, which provides enough space to store your recordings.
This NEXT GEN camera is of course certified for the European market, it even offers a mobile application (iOS/Android) - it will allow to view videos, or track the current position via google maps, or change the camera settings. Stable recording is also guaranteed by a special patented holder that eliminates shocks and the camera is powered by a USB-C connector. A big advantage is the improved parking mode function system of the new generation upgrade 5.0. Of course, there is also a G - sensor, which prevents the deletion or overwriting of data in the camera in case of impact.
